25 years ago the club “ISV Tigers Stegersbach” evolved from a hobby team into a professional Inline-Skaterhockey club in Austria and has since hosted several European Championships.
Founded in 1997 the Tigers started on an asphalt hockey rink, where the euphoria for inline hockey began. In 1998, the Tigers Stegersbach started their first season in the Championship ÖRSV (Austrian Skate and Inline Skating Association) and had already built their home arena called the Tigers Cage.
This was followed by the financing of the new roof for the„Tigers Cage“, which made it possible to host the IISHF Men's European Championship in 2008. After that in 2009, Stegersbach hosted the IISHF Ladies and Junior Championship, in 2011 the Men's European Championship and in 2014 again the Junior Championship.
The Tigers women team had a reboot in 2019 with the addition of many young players. Most of them started playing at the age of 5-6 years through a cooperation with the kindergarten Bocksdorf. After years of training with the junior team, the girls were able to successfully establish themselves in the women's team. In recent years, they have been able to celebrate many successes with them.
